Speech-Language Pathologist

Schedule: Part Time

Overview: Evaluate speech, receptive and expressive language, reading, and writing in K-12 population. You will set goals and implement intervention in the areas of speech-sound disorders, dyslexia, receptive and expressive language, and stuttering; and collaborate with the TPE owner, SLP lead, and dyslexia therapists on staff.

Education: Master's degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Program, new graduates and/or CFY welcome to apply.

Licenses/Certifications: Licensed or in the process of obtaining licensure to practice Speech Pathology in the State of Iowa. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Pathology from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (or in the process of obtaining certificate / CFY).

Experience: Job or practicum experience with the pediatric population, K-12, preferred but not essential.

Dyslexia Therapist

Schedule: Part Time (some evenings, no weekends)

Overview: The Dyslexia Therapist will primarily work 1:1 with K-12 grade students to improve reading, spelling, writing and comprehension skills. Applicant must have the ability to work independently and also effectively work with a diverse population. In order to create the best learning environment possible for our students, staff should be open to coaching and constructive feedback, to improve performance and effectiveness. Remote work is a consideration, after training is complete.

Education: A college degree or commensurate experience in Communication Disorders, Linguistics, or Education preferred.

Experience: Orton-Gillingham based tutoring experience preferred, but not essential.
