On-Site, Speech Language Pathologist (part-time salary)

Schedule: Part Time (20 hours per week - after school)

Overview: We are a specialized clinic where 90 percent of our clientele come to us for integrated dyslexia/speech language services. **Training is provided on the integration methodology and is significant. You are intensely supported in learning and using the methodology.

● Hours: 3:00 to 7:00pm (CST), M through Friday, no weekends.

● There is potential to go FULL-TIME with full benefits per business need and desire.

● Sessions are 1-on-1 and scheduled for you. You may have some virtual sessions. If so, links are sent for you.

● You will have a designated office. Supplies, materials and technology are provided for you.

● Primary duties include: direct 1-on-1 therapy, primarily within our specialty, but may get a few traditional

speech/language clients as well, and documentation of those services. Rare evaluations are a possibility, but this

is primarily a direct treatment position.

● 2.5 hours per week, (out of the 20 total hours), are for documentation, planning, parent, communications, and miscellaneous tasks outside of direct sessions.

● We have our documentation streamlined for direct services, and it is completed primarily during the actual therapy session. TPE provides a TPE issued computer for documentation and billing that is assigned only to you.

● Must be licensed or willing to get a license in the state of Iowa.

● Must be willing to learn and use our specialty methodology when appropriate.

● Experience with any Science of Reading Programming, such as: Wilson Language, Barton, Take Flight, and /or Orton Gillingham philosophy is helpful, but not required, as we will train.

● Must understand the “needed hours” are M through F, after school into early evening.

● Must be a TEAM player with a positive attitude.

● Must pass a background check after receiving a contingent offer.
