Hi!  My name is Jenny Johnston and I'm a tutor here at TPE.  I have a BBA from the University of Iowa and intially began my career in business.  However, when my children began school, I developed a passion for teaching.  Thus, I ventured into the education field and spent about 8 years as an Associate Substitute Teacher in the Waukee School District, working with students age kindergarten through 12th grade.  After that, I spent another 5 years as a 6th Grade Study Hall Teacher, while also working part-time as a tutor at TPE, and then solely at TPE.  I really love to help students learn!  It's so rewarding to help students understand new concepts and watch their amazing progress!  In my free time, I like to go running, hiking and bicycling with my husband.  I also enjoy spending time with our three children, who are now all grown and leading exciting lives!
